With three regional offices and technicians widely spread all over Denmark the company covers the whole of Denmark.

Schindler Elevatorer A/S has a need to recruit a new Business Unit Manager, Existing Installations & Modernization located at the Ballerup office to strengthen our market presence and continuous growth on strategic areas.

The role

The position Business Unit Manager, Existing Installations & Modernization (EI/MOD) includes the overall responsibility for leading Sales and Field Operations within Service, Repair and Modernization business of the company, in accordance with Schindler’s guidelines, values ​​and strategies.
The Division Existing Installations and Modernization has a total of 56 employees and is responsible for more than half of the company’s profit.

The Business Unit Manager will develop, implement and follow-up processes to achieve profitable growth in our company’s Operating Revenue and maintenance portfolio, high customer satisfaction, committed employees, grow market position as well as high safety, quality and efficiency goals. The Business Unit Manager is working in close co-operation with other business divisions to ensure achievement of our company’s best interests as well as flawless teamwork between different functions of the company. The Business Unit Manager will exercise leadership in accordance with all Schindler core values.

The Business Unit Manager has direct responsibility for Field Operation Manager, Repair Coordinator, Contract Sales Manager, 2 Modernization sales rep., Warehouse and Back Office functions. A total of 10 persons.

Your responsibilities

  • Responsibility for both the revenue and profitability of the Repair, Maintenance and modernization business
  • Actively contribute to increased sales and good relationships with the company’s existing and targeted key customers
  • Develop both profitability and growth of the EI organization by developing the current field personnel’s culture towards proactive sales
  • Being actively involved in both evaluating and developing leadership in the company.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate has experience in a senior commercial/technical/operational role w/ P&L responsibility, preferably in a dynamic, high standard environment of ~10 years.

Furthermore, the candidate is active and self-going, has a high-energy level and is pragmatic and hands-on with readiness to go the extra mile. It is important that the person is a modern leader with organizational and motivational skills for future development of the company, the team and her-/himself. 

Formal education requirements

An ideal candidate for the position holds a suitable master’s degree (Technical, Business Administration or similar) from University or Business College.
