Alexion discovered and developed soliris® (eculizumab), a first-in-class terminal complement inhibitor. Today, soliris is approved in more than 40 countries as a treatment for patients with paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (pnh), and in the united states and european union as a treatment for patients with atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (ahus). Alexion is working urgently to investigate soliris and additional product candidates as treatments for patients with other rare and severe diseases. Alexion nordics is a fast growing organisation with an ongoing expansion of its presence in the region.  5 years after the successful launch of soliris in pnh, the company is now planning its next major launch in the area of metabolic disease pertaining to genetic deficiencies/ inborn errors of metabolism.

joining alexion at this exiting stage of development will give you the opportunity to create impact and make a difference for patients with severe and often untreated serious conditions. In your role you will manage the flow of information between the region and the european headquarters in switzerland. You will be the scientific expert internally as well as towards the medical community. One of your key roles will be to identify and develop key opinion leader support. Among your internal responsibilities will be to provide training and education.

qualifications
you must possess:
• m.d. Or phd in life science
• min.

it is furthermore advantageous with:
• background /experience with genetic deficiencies
• orphan diseases knowledge/experience
• experience of early and late clinical development

personal characteristics
you are a strong team player, ideally with a team leader experience and ability to adapt to a multicultural environment. You demonstrate a high level of energy and enthusiasm and ability cope with high levels of stress.
