about the position
gates is present in three segments; automotive oe, automotive aftermarket and industrial market. this role is in the industrial market, focusing in particular on the successfully selling of our fluid power program to existing and potential original equipment (oe) customers, as well as to distributors selling to the general market and smaller oe’s. the fluid power program offers an integrated line of high performance hydraulic hoses, industrial hoses, couplings, fittings and self-assembly equipment.
in your role as district sales manager you will work within the nordic countries predominantly in sweden and finland. your focus will be to find new business opportunities with new oe manufacturers which could use gates industrial and high pressure hoses and couplings on the machines and equipment they are producing. additional to this you will work with gates existing and potential oe-customers, through the introduction of new products and replacing products from competition.
considering the concentration of some large oe companies in the region of örebro, it is highly expected that you would live in the area of örebro, or alternatively within a reasonable travel distance (radius of 100 kms. max) from that city. you will have a home based office.
you will be part of the successful sales team of the industrial division deployed all over europe, and you will be reporting to regional sales manager industrial based in uk. you will be supported by a customer service and technical team based at the gates european headquarters in belgium.
