Gothenburg is developing, growing and changing fast. Few cities have its development potential. The planning committee and the city planning office play a central role in this challenge. Together with the city’s other administrative departments, our 250 employees will create the prerequisites for a competitive and attractive city that is sustainable in the long term.
The strategic department is in the process of being formed and consists of a number of employees with responsibility for overall strategic planning and sustainable urban development. Among other things, the department will work on vision work for the city centre, method development for social aspects of city planning and climate adaptation strategies.
