Marketing Manager Nordics

Our group SOLINA (1700 Employees, € 450M turnover, 18 production sites in Europe and locations in 17 countries) imagines, conceives and develops ingredient solutions for food industries. Our vision: « Create Solutions for Tomorrow’s Food ». Solina Nordic HQ is in Malmö, the position can however be based either in Malmö Sweden or in Stilling (Aarhus area) Denmark.

As part of our continued expansion we are now looking for a Marketing Manager Nordics. This is a new role within the company which will be responsible for creating and implementing regional marketing plans in the Nordic countries, in close alignment with the business plan for the B2B market.

The Marketing Manager will be interpreting relevant market and consumer trends in the identified market segments and translating market insights into new business opportunities. The role will be creating pro-active marketing programs through food trend insights, consumer studies and relevance.

The role will be co-operating very closely with the sales team and the product development team to offer the right solutions to the customers.

The Marketing Manager will play an important role in driving the transition from being product to solution focused in order to provide a strong value proposition for the customer.

About the role

The Marketing Manager will be reporting hierarchically to the Nordic Area General Manager, based in Malmö, with close collaboration in a matrix with colleagues in the Group Marketing area. The role won’t have any direct reports and the scope of the role will be a mix of strategical and operational responsibilities.

Overall responsibilities:

  • Identify and relate consumer and food trends to business objectives and identify new business opportunities
  • Develop a comprehensive market plan based on in-depth market mapping
  • Analyse Market Dynamics and recommend areas of potential growth for the business
  • Recommend set of marketing related actions to be undertaken to fulfil growth objectives
  • Produce tailored customer presentations
  • In conjunctions with sales, develop customer development plans for strategic accounts
  • Lead implementation of solution programs with strategic customers including facilitation of ideation session and concept development and testing
  • Support local implementation of innovations and develop regional go-to-market launches
  • Create a platform and structure of sales materials, assess and plan Solina’s presence in fairs and exhibitions

Profile Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master’s in Marketing or equivalent
  • Relevant experience (min. 5 years) in B2B Marketing and/or marketing research in an international environment (minimum Nordic level)
  • Experience from the food industry is a plus
  • Experience from cross functional and cross-cultural teamwork is a must

  • Costumer focused, curious and open minded
  • Fluent in English (company language) and Swedish or Danish 
  • Availability to travel, both domestic and international
