CITYBIKE GLOBAL is the company created by Moventia in 2014 who is a group of companies founded in 1923 that responds to people and organisations’ mobility needs through a global and complementary offer in the field of transport and automotive, which anticipates new habits and is based on innovative and sustainable technologies.

CITYBIKE GLOBAL is led by Jordi Cabañas, with 22 years of experience in similar projects. He has participated in the implementation and operation of more than 25 public bicycle services worldwide (Paris, Barcelona, Antwerp, Milan, Helsinki, Mexico City).

About the position

We are looking for a Managing Director for the Nordic countries where you will help us expand our public bicycle services. Here are some key indicators from our global organization:

  • 30,700 bicycles
  • 2,080 stations
  • 4,000 employees
  • 1,300 buses
  • 110 million passengers per year
  • 41 trams
  • 50 million km
  • World’s largest service (outside China) with more than 400,000 subscribers and 200,000 trips per day

As Managing Director, you are responsible for P&L, people and assuring the growth of the business in the region. You will have the responsible for the commercial and operational development, ensure to create and achieve strategies and objectives and manage the relationship with our clients.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish a plan to prioritize and execute development activities according to each country´s objectives.
  • Oversee the preparation of Public tenders that are submitted for each country
  • Offer insight for international markets and identify opportunities for expansion
  • Establish and develop relationships with local key partners in new countries to tender
  • Carry out market research to establish the operating conditions for new countries to tender
  • Supervise the operations of each country ensuring that they comply with the objectives set by the general management.
  • Set up the marketing strategy for the region and promote the marketing activities for each country.
  • Work strategically – carrying out necessary planning in order to implement operational changes.
  • Report to CEO and corporate directors

About you

To be as successful as we want you to be, we welcome your previous experience within these areas:

  • Experience in business development of public tenders
  • Experience with design and implementation of business development strategy
  • Experienced negotiator with legal experience from public contracts
  • Advanced level of English
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software
  • Full availability to travel
  • Skills to influence public stakeholders

Beside your proven track record, we also know that you possess excellent skills in:

  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Clear written and oral communication,
  • Enthusiasm for business development, organization, and people skills.
