Amniotics mission is to contribute towards life changing regenerative treatment of severe diseases with inflammatory and fibrotic origin. The company was born out of the discovery of a novel source of stem cells in full-term amniotic fluid. Based on a decade of research at the internationally recognized Lund University Stem Cell Center and Hospital, the company is pioneering the harvesting and propagation of tissue relevant neonatal quality mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs). Researchers and founders of the company discovered a new type of stem cells in amniotic fluid that has unique properties for applications in regenerative medicine. The company has a new GMP approved production facilitiy operational since early 2020 and ongoing preclinical research in several therapeuticareas. .
Amniotics is rapidly evolving with its most advance product being PulmoStemTM for respiratory indications. Due to the resulting increase in workload within clinical development, Amniotics is aiming at adding a new Clinical Trial Manager to its existing team. The person will work with planning and execution of phase I/II studies.
In this newly established role, you will together with your team run the clinical program in line with corporate strategy. Your main responsibilities will be to plan, initiate and monitor clinical studies, analyse results and draw relevant conclusions. Since significant parts of the work will be outsourced to external suppliers, you will have a shared responsibility for contracting and monitoring CRO resources to meet the demands on an ongoing basis. An additional part of the role will be to participate in external conferences and symposia to stay on top of the latest global research trends within your areas of research.
You have minimum 3-5 years’ experience from similar type of clinical development of biopharmaceutical compounds in an academic or industry setting, ideally within cell-based therapy (ATMP). A strong CRO network in Europe and ability to evaluate their relevance for the specific tasks is a strong advantage. It will be a plus if you have a relevant academic degree within natural sciences.
