Head Of Operational Excellence - E.ON

In order to adapt to future challenges and fast moving market needs, a new team within E.ON Customer Solutions has been formed – our Operational Excellence team. The team has a clear assignment and that is to drive the transformation of our business within energy sales, energy infrastructure solutions, customer support, and our support functions.

We are now looking for a strong leader for the team in the role as

Head of Operational Excellence

In this role you will be responsible building up and developing E.ONs operational excellence capabilities, implementing a new E.ON business system (EBS), and to lead the team of 10 highly motivated business developers and LEAN transformation managers.

You will be a part of the management team of Business development & Technology, a unit with responsibility for Strategy & Innovation, Business IT & digital, and Operational Excellence. You will work closely with the business owners in our operational businesses, and you will actively support the executive leadership team in driving performance management, process optimization, customer centricity, competence build-up, and business transformation. You will also be the Nordic representative in the group wide operational excellence network, as EBS is being rolled out within all market units within E.ON Customer Solutions. 

Your responsibilities will be; 

  • E.ON Business System – develop and maintain a best in class operational excellence system based on lean management philosophy
  • Performance management – ensure that the KPI framework, goals, measurements, performance management processes and dialogues are in place to guide the implementation of a high performing organization and culture
  • Breakthrough initiatives – track and monitor progress in key initiatives, in order to deliver on our business objectives
  • Process optimization – drive E2E process improvements throughout our businesses to increase customer centricity, productivity, velocity, quality, and compliance
  • Operational excellence competence – drive our leadership journey and LEAN competence build-up, in order to create an organization that truly embraces a continuous improvement and operational excellence culture
  • Business transformation – lead and drive implementation of our Adapt for Growth program, in order to reduce organizational complexity, improve steering and governance, and reduce costs

The role is placed at E.ON Headquarter in Malmö, and you will report to Christian Roos, Director of Business development & Technology.

Your background

To be successful in the role, we think you are an experienced operational excellence manager, with 10+ years of leadership experience. You have a proven track record of driving successful business excellence and transformation in a Nordic and international setting, and you are a natural authority within the area of Operational Excellence, most probably with a Black belt in LEAN. You are passionate about change management, and you can drive change initiatives across a large span of operations. You possess strong communication and presentation skills as well as a strong ability to influence.

You do not need to have previous experience from working in the energy industry. But to love your job you need to have a natural curiosity for how our business work and share our vision of making a difference for a more sustainable energy system for the future.
