Managing Director - Kontio

Kontio began in the early 1970s as a small local sawmill. Since then Kontio has grown to become the industry pioneer, developing the knowhow and new technologies needed for massive wooden buildings. Over 40 years, Kontio has delivered more than 50 000 log buildings and export more than 30 different countries. And today, Kontio is the world’s leading log house company – we’re the largest both in terms of sales and production.

Kontio’s full company name is Kontiotuote Oy and we belong to the Finnish PRT-Forest Group. This is a private owned group that focus on wooden buildings and construction materials. The owners have a long-term strategy to develop Kontio and invest systematically in Kontio to develop our state-of-the-art products, technology and processes.

In Sweden our subsidiary Kontio Hus is located in Stockholm. We are now looking for our new collegue who will be in charge managing our Swedish subsidiary to further success;

Managing Director, Kontio Hus AB

The Managing Director of Kontio Hus will be focusing on company growth, identifying, and executing growth opportunities for the company and business opportunities both within the B2C as well as the B2B segment. The role will also have an important mission, adding new cooperating partners to secure high quality in the projects.

Your main tasks will be:

  • To develop the Kontio business and organisation in Sweden, full responsibility of P&L
  • To develop and strengthen the relations with both potential partners and clients in the Swedish market
  • To create and implement Kontio strategy in Sweden
  • To develop and grow the Swedish operation
  • To communicate and build strong relations with different stake holders and officials.

You act with a high energy level and can inspire as well as challenge your team to achieve high goals in a fast-moving business. You work in a systematic way, both in business processes and in your decision making. You are a quick thinker and strong in mathematics. You are cooperating with great interaction skills, and you enjoy collaborating with both customers and colleagues.

Your background

You should be well experienced in sales and marketing, a strong leader with deep knowledge in business routines and people development. You will have the full responsibility for the Kontio Hus AB and are expected to be well experienced in independently assignments, similar to this one.You have experience from construction business, preferable housebuilding/construction/sales or related and more than 10 years from leading positions.Your background could be construction engineering or related.

Further needs of knowledge and experiences for the position would be;

  • To understand import businesses
  • Understanding of business juridical aspects.
  • To be able to understand the company’s business and profitability
  • Understand digital marketing channels (social media) and sales processes
  • Ability to identify and implement change
  • Experience from project management
  • Language skills required; Fluent in English and Swedish.
