Examples of products and services that the company provides are firewalls, identity and access control solutions and cloud security services. At Clavister you will lead the engineering team in order to reach the next technical milestone. As VP of Engineering you will be the person who has great technical chops but prefers not to be a coding ninja. As VP of Engineering you play an important role in the development of Clavister as a company. You will also be an important contributor to the further development of the engineering organization. The VP of Engineering will be a driving force when it comes to finding and developing work methods and best practice within software engineering. Clavister is on a journey with a high pace of work and with a clear focus on growth. They have a solid ground with competitive products worldwide. In this role you will be the driving force in the company’s further development.
You will be responsible for organizing the new engineering department and the development of new work processes. Your focus is to create an efficient organization and to motivate the engineering team to create world class products. To be successful in this role you clarify requirements, goals and the direction of the team.
As a leader you will develop and set the agenda for the team, let the team be a part of the path forward and assure that the line managers are on the same track. You will have responsibility for the engineering organization consisting of 65 people with 6 direct reports.
You will work in close cooperation together with product management and you’ll be a role model in building best practice within engineering. Your knowledge about modern methods and products is critical for Clavister’s further development. You have a curious mind and you absorb relevant and suitable technology based on the projected benefits to the engineering department.
In this role you will be a part of the management team and report to the CEO.
You are a communicative and inspiring person with a big drive. You are experienced in software engineering from different software product organizations. You are an experienced leader within international contexts where you have managed large software engineering teams. You have proven experience in building high-performance teams and scalable best-practices in an engineering organization. Other experiences that we value are strategy development and project management and you are probably a problem solving person with change management skills.
You have a Bachelor within Engineering software/computer science.
