Global Sales Manager - Atlas antibodies

Atlas Antibodies was founded in 2006 as a start-up from the Human Protein Atlas project and has successfully launched more than 60,000 products for protein research. The company was originally founded by researchers at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm and the Rudbeck Laboratory, Uppsala University in Uppsala to handle the production, marketing and sales of research tools developed by the Swedish-based Human Protein Atlas program. Today the company has full in-house manufacturing facilities and offers four premium quality product product lines: Triple A Polyclonals, PrecisA Monoclonals, PrEST Antigens and QPrESTs. QPrESTs are mass spectrometry standards for absolute quantification of proteins. The company today has approximately 55 employees, markets and sells its products globally through multiple distribution channels. The company is in a phase of profitable expansion and exploring new growth areas to meet the needs of customers. The company site is in the Stockholm area.

To take the next step in the commercialisation of its technologies, a new commercial organisation is being established, to which we are now looking to appoint a Global Sales Manager.

Main tasks and responsibilities

You will be part of a dedicated and experienced team with responsibility for maximising sales of the product line and to plan and execute sales activities, forecasting and reporting accordingly. The sales model is predominantly indirect with 3rd party global OEM/co-branding partners and local distributors. You will lead and coach a small team consisting of 3 people in channel management, customer support and order handling.                                                      

Your background and experience

  • Min. 2-3 years indirect sales experience within life science
  • Proven track record of achieving significant results
  • Previous formal leadership or team/project leader experience
  • Bachelor’s degree within biotechnology/biochemistry or other relevant area
  • Experience or knowledge of the antibody or related market a strong plus
