The Sr. Director of R&D will oversee the R&D team based in Huskvarna. This is a critical, broad-based leadership position integral to the success of the company and will be responsible for driving new product development and technologies as well as maintaining and improving current product offerings. Responsible for managing the daily operations of the R&D team in Sweden, as well as working on long term strategies together with other management functions located globally. The role also includes legal responsibility as site manager for other SVP departments located in Sweden. The position is based in Huskvarna and reports to Senior Vice President, Research and Development based in Nashville.

Qualifications

• 10+ year managing Engineering or R & D organization
• 3+ years of working in a global engineering / manufacturing organization
• Experience in simulation and engineering software (FEA, Creo, MATLAB, G-Tol, etc.)
• Experience in design of consumer appliances is highly desirable
• Must have experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Must have strong leadership, oral, and written communication skills
• Must be fluent in Swedish and English language both oral and written
• Master’s degree in Engineering
• Good in teambuilding and building corporate culture with engagement
