H&M in Sweden employs approximately 11 000 people, divided between 5 000 store employees and 6 000 within the central functions at the Head Office. In your daily work, you lead a team of 18 payroll officers in charge of payroll management for the Swedish operations. It is a complex environment, made even more challenging due to the on-going implementation of a new payroll system that was launched in 2015/2016.
The role as Payroll Manager is instrumental in developing a fully-functional and proactive department, closely connected to the business. By increasing the efficiency and developing the team as well as the function, you will ensure that payroll is in line with H&M’s continued expansion and success.
You are very comfortable with your skills in connection to payroll administration and see far beyond its most obvious definition. To you, this function supports the business and does not only ensure salary payments, and you have many ideas of how to further develop this particular part of the organisation.
We believe that you are leading a team today and find leadership exciting and fulfilling, as this is a group of considerable size. We also think that you are within an organisation today with both blue collar and white collar employees to fully understand the different challenges associated with agreements and salary systems.
If you are used to an international setting, this is an extra merit, but to be fluent in Swedish as well as English is a prerequisite.
Are you the one we are looking for?
You inspire people around you and see each of your direct report’s personal development as truly rewarding. Your communication skills and supporting nature are not, however, exclusively enjoyed by your team, but you are also outstanding when it comes to building internal networks and seeing how your department fits into the whole of the company.
Working at H&M means feeling the corporate values at your very core, and therefore you are a true team-player, who is straight-forward and keeps things simple with a focus on constant improvement. In order to feel at home, it comes naturally for you to assume responsibility and be forward-thinking among competent, friendly and ambitious colleagues.
