The Danish company has approx.. 100 employees and are headquartered in Greater Copenhagen. There is an expectation for growth based on the perception of the market and the potential of bringing the organization and market approach to the next level.
Your role
The main task of the new CFO is to develop and lead the financial operations and business process support of the Danish company. The company aims to significantly increase its market share with rapid growth during the next years and it is expected that the new CFO brings strong contribution to the decision making and overall business development of the company and acts as a right hand to the Managing Director. The CFO is therefore also expected to have an entrepreneurial hands-on mindset.
The person will be responsible for leading the finance function and business support taking an active role in daily work. S/he will oversee all day to day finance processes including budgeting and forecasting, financial planning, management reporting and analysis, close monitoring of business activities with an appetite to further develop the business and processes. The responsibilities of finance department also include IT, procurement and warehousing.
The CFO is responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting based on Group standards and local business needs. S/he will ensure business crucial key parameters and initiate proper actions. The CFO will work in close contact with business units and business managers enabling close co-operation between finance and business lines. Furthermore, the person will actively take part in other business development issues and support the Managing Director and business managers in e.g. pricing strategies, tender management, business intelligence as well as in continuous improvement in efficiency and productivity.
The CFO will report to the Managing Director and act as a member of the Executive Management team. In addition, s/he will, together with the Managing Director, work closely with the Group and support them with necessary information for decision making.
The person will provide the business with a clear, concise and forward-looking overview and analysis of the company’s financial situation and development. S/he will support the Managing Director and rest of the management and act as an effective sounding board for colleagues in providing an objective, commercial view on business issues and propositions. In addition, the CFO will be supporting business development projects.
Requirements
An ideal candidate for the position would optimally have experience with leadership in a senior finance role, preferably in a dynamic, high standard environment and hold an academic degree (HD-R, cand.merc. or equivalent)
The new CFO should have a good understanding of all finance related issues and the role of finance function as a business partner and a capability to quickly develop an understanding of the business.

The targeted employee is active and self-going, has a high-energy level and is pragmatic and hands-on with readiness to go the extra mile and be very responsive to change. It is important that the person is a modern leader with organizational and motivational skills for him/her to be able to act as a backbone for the management team and consistently challenge the business units.
The person in question follows high ethical standards to maintain the fundamentals in finance and is good at planning and prioritizing and has an analytical mind set, a professional attitude and a good understanding of her/his own strengths and weaknesses.
As part of the management team, the person displays strong leadership skills with devotion to the Group Leadership framework and values. Emphasis is given to the person’s ability to develop his/her team members and act as the company’s leadership role model for other business leaders.
The right candidate has a strong commercial orientation with focus on improving and developing the operational performance of the business. S/he is strategic with a conceptual thinking and has a vision and own opinions to give valuable input to the management.
